1 | Use metallic, reflective pieces.

2 | Incorporate luxurious fabrics.
Today you can find any type of fabric, discounted even, thanks to the Internet. By adding luxurious fabrics such as velvet and chenille to your space, you are adding interest to your home. These fabrics can be used not only on large upholstery, but also on accents such as pillows and even small benches. An easy DIY could be to buy an inexpensive Target X stool and recover it in a favorite lush fabric for a fraction of the cost of ordering through a traditional retailer. (see living room photo)

4 | Let’s talk texture.
A room is boring when everything has the same fabric. Mix it up in your space – not only with your upholstery, but your rugs too! A faux fur rug can be amazing to walk on and looks great. A fuzzy throw blanket, rattan baskets, wood side tables, and interesting accessories made of different types of materials all add interest.
